The workshop is about Hearing awareness and hearing care that was conducted by Audiologists of Medcon Hearing Care Centre in Jaffna,Urumpirai. This was organized by MInistry of Education of Northern province. 120 special education teachers from 120 schools participated in this awareness programme held on the on 2015.02.20.

The fourth public meeting on hearing awareness was conducted on the 1st of July 2014 at Bright Bravo hotel Krunegala. The event went till at 10 am to 1 pm and was organized by Medcon Hearing Care Center - MHCC as a company CSR project.The event brought in a crowd of 50 people with hearing disabilities. Medcon Hearing Care Center - MHCC celebrated its Annual Avurudhu Uthsavaya at the Gatambe Grounds, Kandy on the 9th of April 2014. The event is specially organised for our Medel implanted children in Sri Lanka. The Avurudhu Uthsavaya brings close all our implanted clients and children and gives them the opportunity to express themselves, show their talents and enjoy the cultural activities organised by us.

The third public meeting on hearing awareness was conducted on the 25th of January 2013 at Sasakawa Hall, Colombo 03. The event was organised by Medcon Hearing Care Center - MHCC as a company CSR project. The event brought in a crowd of 70 people with hearing disabilities. The event was inaugurated by Dr.S.B.Etulgama (ENT surgeon at Peradeniya Srimavo Bandaranayake Specialised Children Hospital), Dr.Etulgama has performed more than 65 MED-EL implant surgeries.

The Second public meeting on hearing awareness was conducted on the 21st of September 2013 at Kandy Royal Mall. The event was organised by Medcon Hearing Care Center - MHCC as a company CSR project. The event brought in a crowd of 100 people with hearing disabilities. The event was inaugurated by Dr.S.B.Etulgama (ENT surgeon at Peradeniya Srimavo Bandaranayake Specialised Children Hospital), Dr.Etulgama has performed more than 60 MED-EL implant surgeries.

A Hearing Screening project was carried out on the 14th of September 2013 at Varod Charitable Organisation, Vavuniya jointly with the Lions Club of Negambo. The Organisation accommodates the homeless and Post-war affected individuals. The hearing screening identified a few individuals that require hearing aids. Free hearing test and guidance on how to safeguard their hearing was provided for all who were present on the day.
